Small-Space Gardening

These compact plants grow well in small gardening spaces. Some, including pole beans, peas, and cucumbers, will climb allowing the space-constrained gardener to take advantage of vertical space using trellising and other staking methods. Tomatoes should be pruned and staked to keep them confined to their allotted space. The squash seeds included are "bush" varieties that are more compact than long-vining types but they will still need at least 4 square feet of growing room.
