Description

Out of Stock for 2017. 28-45 days. Magenta Magic Orach (or-ick) is a distant cousin of spinach. Arrow-shaped leaves are edible and you'll definitely appreciate its eye-catching fuchsia color. Much like spinach, young leaves are prepared in salads while mature leaves are used for cooking. Plants grow 3 - 4’ tall. Planted in the late spring and grown into summer, Magenta Magic can handle the heat and be harvested long after spinach is played out. Plants are highly ornamental and suitable for edible landscaping. All orachs support beneficial insects if allowed to flower (such as syrphid flies, which eat aphid pests). Easy seed saving plant. Seeds grown by Nature and Nurture Seeds.
