Edible Wild Plants for Foraging

Foraging your own food feels good and connects us to our ancestral roots. These perennial plants are easy to grow and many can grow almost anywhere making them perfect for easy foraging. Many of them come up early in the spring providing abundance before our gardens are producing food.

Please don't plant these seeds into intact ecosystems such as forests or forest edges - they may spread and disturb the forest. None of these plants are native to the Midwest except Nettles.
