Lavender needs a full sun location with good water drainage. Sow seeds inside 1/15-3/15, 1/8" deep and expose seeds to light. Days to germination: 14-21. Transplant outside into a sunny location 5/15 - 6/30, 18-24" apart. In late fall, clip back flower stems (shear plant) - this will prevent plant from getting too leggy and will encourage new, fresh growth in the spring
Clip flower spikes. Use fresh or hang to dry in a dry, well-ventilated space out of direct sunlight.
