Cooking spray
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup softened butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups paw paw pulp
1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease the bottom of an 8-inch pan with cooing spray.
2. Beat sugar and butter together in a bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs. Beat in paw paw pulp and water until combined. Add flour, walnuts, baking soda, salt, and baking powder, and beat until combined.
3. Pour mixture into the pan.
4. Bake for about an hour, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
Note: If this is your first experience with paw paws, you may need more than you think for 1 1/2 cups of pulp! Since the seeds take up between 40-60% of the fruit, you'll want to get more than you think you'll need, just to be on the safe side.
