In May or June, sow seeds outside onto the surface of the soil and do not cover - keep moist and weed free until germination. Alternatively, start seeds inside anytime 4/1-6/1. Sow seeds onto the surface of the moist soil and do not cover with soil. Mist with spray bottle to water. Cover with dome (optional). Expose seeds to light (indirect or non-hot light works well, make sure seeds don't get too hot!) . Keep seeds at temp 65-85°. Days to seed germination: 7/14. Transplant outside after May 20th, 4-6" apart. Keep plants moist and well weeded. Plants may re-seed so keep an eye out next year for free plants!
Clip flowering tops to be used fresh or dried in tea, salad or decoration.
Seeds are ready once flowers are dry on the plant. Cut and place in paper bag to dry further. Shake to release seeds. Chamomile seeds are very small so you will want to collect them before they fall off of the plant unless you want to let them self-seed in place.
