This is Joker, one of our favorite lettuces bred by Frank Morton, growing in the hoophouse. We know it's great in the spring, summer and fall, but now we are really putting it to the test. Joker is one of many lettuces being trialed in our hoophouse for winter hardiness, flavor, and downy mildew disease resistance (the bane of winter hoophouse salad mix growers). It is looking great so far . . . We will see what it looks like in February.
